dandelion tea

Those pesky things that I spend hours hunched over, trying to get rid of? Seriously? You want me to drink that?

dandelion, who knew?

Yes. I. Do.

LIVER
I've learned that dandelion tea helps your liver to detox. Research shows that it could even help reduce an inflamed liver. Inflammation causes so many diseases, so I'm going to incorporate anti-inflammatories in my routine as best as possible (including ginger). You can also include these leaves into your salads if you are up for the challenge! It's not that tasty...

CANCER
I've known for awhile how good dandelion tea is for your liver. I started doing more research and have since learned that it may be good for fighting cancer too! This is really exciting, because I don't want to lose any other loved ones to cancer again. Here is a GREAT article from CBC to share with family, friends and colleagues!

Keep in mind that it is a diuretic (which will make your peepee breaks frequent... kind of like how people started wondering about me at work today...). Don't drink when you don't have access to a washroom for awhile!

How to make dandelion tea:
Dry dandelion teas which you can pick or errr... grow...
Boil 1 cup of water
Pour over 1 tsp of dandelion leaves

Or you can do what I do... and buy a green tea blend from Davids Tea 'Some Velvet Morning'.
