Juicing for Clear Skin

When we juice, our bodies do not have to digest the food to absorb the vitamins and minerals. They are absorbed right into the blood stream. This is great for people with Chron's Disease or Colitis because the food can pass through the system too quickly, leaving one exempt from the nutritional benefits of the foods they consumed (as nutritious they may have been).

Juicing helps the skin in several ways:
  •  contains antioxidants (which detoxes our bodies)
  •  hydrates us, our skin needs hydration more than you can imagine
  •  contains so many minerals and vitamins
Juicing since 9 (or the victim of fresh warm carrot juices handed to me from my father), I have been sporadic about it in my adulthood. It's the cleaning of the juicer part I no likes. So for the month of December, I am challenging myself to 1 juice per day. Some will be repeats. Some will be randoms. Some will be recipes.

Now, I've googled "juicing for clear skin" and came up with tonight's recipe!
  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 cup of of broccoli heads
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1/2 apple (I'll probably use 1)
