Eating Orange

Beta-carotene is what's for dinner tonight. What makes foods orange & yellow is the beta-carotene inside. When you incorporate a lot of these foods into your diet, you can brag to your friends that your diet is linked to lower rates of cancer, heart disease & boosts your immune system and eyes. Rumor has it I'll gain more energy (wait, I think I dooooo have more...), and mood! I'm all for that because I'm trying a new thing called cutting the negativity.

"mellow yellow" soup. but i think it's orange.

After a workout, I scooped up some delicious carrot & corn soup, topped it off with a baked slice of sweet potato & a dash of sprouted chickpea/carrot salad.

The soup recipe is from Hot from the Pot, an... get this... ORANGE cookbook (...pause for reaction...) that my mom has so you can make it in your crockpot if you want.

I picked up the sprouted chickpeas that is basically hummus from the organic farmers market on Saturday, although I suspect it'd be easy to make. In 3, 2, 1... Found a recipe for it! Mixed with shredded carrot & that's it folks!

Add more orange into your diet please. PS. Don't worry, I had a side of kale salad. I'd never just eat one colour!

XO

As for the workout I did? Here it is. Ow I hurt from it. I'm adding this part the next day.
