Got my LG shine in gold in October in Bangkok. Months later, I still love it, which says a lot because I have 5 spare cell phones and change them quite frequently because I can't stand getting too used to one piece of technology. Newness of technolgy excites me, learning all the new functions of my new toys (cell phones) is my favourite part of buying a new one.
It's beautiful, it's classy, but watch out for scratches! The front and back are both prone to getting dinged up through daily use (if you just throw it in your big ol' Coach purse like I). The Thai family that I purchased this phone from took an extra 1/2 hour to apply a protective sticker to both the front and the back (not like the kind you receive your phone with, it was actually invisible!). Wear and tear from my pockets and Coach just recently forced me to rip off the back sticker. I am going to search for more on EBay. I've had many phones in my past, with more than half of them suffering from hardware malfunction, causing me to turn them in for months at a time for "repair". I have not had any troubles as far as freezing, it responds very quickly. The favourite buttons are fully customizable, with storage for up to 8 quick steps. My favourite feature of the Thai version (I don't think the December-releasted Canadian version has it) is the middle button, it is cylindrical and scrolls baby scrolls! There is not one feature that I have wished for that this doesn't have. Power saving mode, flight status mode, alarm clock, voice recorder, speaker phone, scientific calculator... Buy one now... Or wait a few months until a certain phone carrier reduces prices as it's still brand spankin new here.
Perhaps it's one for the ladies because of the mirror, but I say... Everybody should be a little self-cautious as to whether there is a hunk of lunch in their teeth or not! It could save you from embarrassing moments guys...
9/10
